Charity Rides

Our own cycle challenge planning team have been participating in some other charity cycle rides recently. Cycle challenges are great for the charities organising the events raising funds and gives us a planned date for our next rides. It also lets us see how others do it and learn from them to make our challenge even better next time.

DUFFTOWN CHALLENGE

The Dufftown Challenge was an offroad challenge with 3 possible routes, our team split up and between us done all sections. This was a great offroad route which had it all- steep inclines, rocky decents, river crossings and fast fire roads. Great soup and sandwiches at the Legion afterwards.

KAYLEIGH'S WEE STARS

We recently completed the Kayleigh's Wee Stars cycle challenge in Ballater. This was an event with 3 options- 20/50/90 miles with the 50 & 90 mile routes all on the road and the 20 mile route having deeside way & road options. It was a fantastic event and saw over 200 cyclists participate. The home bakes and sandwiches at the end were brilliant!

We are always looking for new cycle challenges to take part in, let us know if you are organising an event or know of any coming up. info@methlickcyclechallenge.co.uk
